We believe that YMCA is our organization to change the world in better direction. As oldest and largest Youth movement in the World with our mission to build healthy spirit, body and mind, the YMCA enjoys great respect and it has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Our worldwide volunteers and members effectively adopt and promote the YMCA values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring.

In the YMCA’s the term “Blue Music” is coming as a gift from god to represent creativity, new vision and inspiration. The Blue Bus is coming in Kosova/o as necessary youth movement for peace and integration. The drivers are young multiethnic people from rural areas in Kosova/o. We are all invited to join in a journey. The journey will take us in next five years in a conflict and ethnic mixed rural areas, and allow us to meet and understand other culture and religion, raising awareness of social issues and their possible solutions.

The tragic war has left an indelible stain on the interethnic relations in Kosova/o. The distance between the neighbors different ethnicity and communities are huge, and is growing, unless we start reforging trust between this people. The worst situation is in rural areas, where are concentrated more than 50 % of Kosova/o youth. Children and young people in rural areas are facing serious issues like safety, lack of infrastructure, unemployment, insufficient schools, teachers, and youth activities. They suffer from lack of self-confidence and self-worth which gives them little or no hope for the future.

The Blue Bus is a journey that develop young men and women in rural area to participate as citizens by being both knowledgeable and active in determining the future of our democracy. This journey will never bring back this people on the same place and as same people. It will give them and their place new identity and new home, where we all have rights and we all have responsibilities, and where we all belong to one another. The journey will take us through three main stations: Training for Trainers, Peace Initiative and Integration.

Let’s take our first journey in very ethnic mixed Liplan Area, with our partners “Center for Human Rights”  and International Youth Agency .
